Best In Class Brands
In today’s highly competitive optical market where Warby Parker in the US and Cubitt’s in the UK are offering mono brand products with a strong service element to hip young consumers OCO saw an opportunity to curate the best of the world’s cooler optical brands into a multi brand space and offer an enhanced level of optician service.
Having acquired a site in East London they approached Author to design and implement a store design that could be assembled and manufactured off site for a plug and play solution. Designing and managing production of all of the fixtures in Spain and directing the site works locally in London Author balanced the need to retain a strong aesthetic with incredibly tight installation timelines and manufacturing budgets.
The individual fixtures could be moved at will to accommodate new merchandising layouts and combined artisan finishes with robust detailing that subtly acted as a backdrop to the comprehensive range of eyewear.
OCO then assembled a who’s who of best in class brands for launch including: Oliver Peoples, Garret Leight, Thom Browne, Kirk Originals, Eyevan 7285, Barton Perreira, Dior and Moscot.
